The Alto, in the hills of Sotogrande, is an 18-hole course set among lakes, pine and cork oaks. Renovated and redesigned by Manuel Piñero, it offers modern routing and excellent playing surfaces. A 2025 golf academy serves beginners and experienced players, while top practice facilities and a peaceful setting add variety and challenge. The course is within 10 minutes of seven other top courses—like Real Sotogrande, Valderrama, San Roque and Hacienda Links—and is part of the 5-star SO/ Sotogrande Hotel (opened 2021).
